    “Women Reaching Out to Women” Scholarships

    Carmel Woman’s Club awards scholarships to Monterey County area women students, at-risk and/or students returning later in life to Monterey Peninsula College.  This $1,200 per year $600 per semester cash award helps women, who are the primary wage earners to enter or return to school and overcome difficult circumstances.

    At the Lobster Fest we have the opportunity to provide scholarships for even more women.  There are several ways to participate: Sponsor the Event with a donation of $1000, $2500 or $5000, make a one time donation or bid in the Silent Auction.

    I.  Giving Sea

    Many of our scholarship women work and care for children while going back to school.  Our scholarships cover one-year direct education expenses.  You will have the opportunity to “purchase & donate” an item from the “Giving Sea display” which represents the cost of items such as a semester of tuition, books, or bus passes. 

    Choices include items from $25 to $500+.

    Arrive

    Doors open at 6:00pm.  Sip wine, beer or sparkling water, meet and greet friends, and enjoy helping send deserving women to college by bidding on the silent auction before our lobster feast begins

  • A Memorable Experience!

    This extraordinary Lobster Dinner is out of this world!  Lobsters and shrimps are boiled in huge pots on our patio … each guest is served a freshly boiled whole lobster, along with an amazing assortment of vegetables, shrimp and sausage spread down the entire table!  We eat with our fingers and wear bibs.  Dinner also includes one glass of wine or beer.

    Enjoy a festive night with your CWC friends before our streets start to roar with Car Week or invite your lobster-loving car week guests for a fun and memorable experience.  Could be the highlight of their week!  It’s also a wonderful way to introduce our friends to our Club and Scholarship Program.

  • Community Table

    You will have reserved seating or you can choose to sit at the Community Table and meet new friends!  Just check off your choice on the RSVP card.

  • Refreshments (Wine, Beer, Etc.)

    Admission Price includes one ticket for one glass of wine, beer, or champagne.  Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Sparkling water, and still water are complimentary.

    For purchase of alcohol, each ticket is $5.  One ticket for 1 glass of wine, champagne or beer.  4 tickets for a bottle of house wine; 5 tickets for specialty wine.

    Should you prefer to bring your favorite wine, a corkage fee of 5 tickets will need to be purchased ($25 per bottle).

    Bartenders will take only tickets for purchases – no cash.

  • Attire

    Dress in Carmel resort ‘beachy’ or New England style, if you like … sport red white and blue, if you must.  Northing silk or satin … we are eating with our hands!
